A very tough decision...
Should I continue working in StarHub after school commences in May or should I quit and get another part-time job that's less demanding and stressful? I've already visited MDIS to clear all my doubts abt the course, and according to the Programme Consultant, the part-time course has contact hours of 3 days in a wk, with 2 weekdays and 1 weekend (Sat), time is from 7-10pm. I can actually still continue with my full-time job in StarHub, since I knock off at 6pm. But personally I think that it's gonna be very draining. I've tot of discussing things with my supervisor, to change my shift to part-time and to work 3 days in a week when I dun hv classes, but I'm not sure if this is the best option.
Firstly, I dun need to spend time sourcing for another job opportunity. However, sometimes it seems like I'm not recognised for my job efforts, and even though I'm a temp staff, never for a moment did I consider myself as just a temp staff and that I can slack or perform poorly at my job without being reprimanded. I give my best in the job, not trying to impress or whatever, but just to make sure that I do my job and do it well. I've been told that I churn out good productivity and that my writing skills are good as well, but besides that somtimes I get arrowed without any reason. There's been a few occasions whereby my team leader told me I did something wrong, and demanded an explanation as to why I didn't check things properly before executing it. Well, after some form of double checking, it was confirmed that I was not the one who handled the case, but my team mate. I dunno how they can any old how accuse ppl without checking properly, and it's like sometimes I didn't even handle that case b4, so why did they just point a finger at me without opening their eyes to see?
Well, it may be because I'm the only gal in the team and that they are MCPs, who think only gals will make such careless mistakes. Or it may be that because I'm new, so they automatically put the blame on me 1st. Sometimes I just let such incidents pass, but when thinking back, it's rather hurting.
My contract's ending soon, and I have a choice of whether to leave or to stay. Should I stay, or leave then? Maybe u guys can gimme some sound advice into this, as bystanders point of view are usually the most unbiased and objective.
