Something to confess

Few days ago, my friend sent me a catalogue, with flowers/cookies/cakes/vouchers for sale. It turns out that it's a project by one of her frenz. This then triggered my thought of mother's day approaching in abt 3 wks time. Seriously, I haven't reali celebrated mother's day with my mum before, and I thought it to be unfilial. Yes, I reali am..Haiz, I can give reasons like being a pauper that I am when i'm still in sch the previous years, I don't have the luxury of spending lavishly, but I definitely have no reason to shun giving my mother a surprise this mother's day, since I'm earning my own keep already. Browsing thru the catalogue, I thought of buying my mum a cake, but on second thoughts, it's rather cliche and so "the norm" nowadays, to give a cake for every occasion, be it a birthday, anniversary, valentine's day, christmas and whatever else you can name.

My second gift idea is to buy some body and hand care products from The Body Shop to pamper my mum, as she's been taking care of her skin all along by slapping on lotions and such every night. That would seem like a great idea, since she hasn't tried Body Shop stuffs b4 and the ingredients come from natural sources that leaves a sweet smelling aftereffect. This thought was soon abandoned, as it wasn't sincere enough. My third idea, is to bake a cake for her, and being the ambitious me, this thought soon ballooned into cooking a full meal for her!! Well well, this then got me to sourcing for online recipes and I managed to find an extensive list of different foods from
www.kraftfoods.com. Yes, if you bother to click on that link, you'll be spoiled for choices. My final decision is to cook something like the below:

Yah, u can say that I must be crazy. Being the not so culinary-inclined me, producing the above would require lots of practice and patience to deliver those tantalizing dishes. By the way, pls allow me to introduce, going from left to right, the dishes are: Grilled Fish and Peppers, Barbecued Orange Pork Ribs, Hash Brown Pie (though it looks more like a main dish to me), and Lemon Cheesecake. After sourcing out those recipes, I've thought, "Why not just bring her to a restaurant and get it over and done with?". But like I've just mentioned, it isn't sincere. Though there's still time for me to think of what to do, I've been thinking abt this for the past 2 days, and I strongly held on to the belief that if I were to cook a complete meal for my mum, she'll be so touched, and even more so if the meal tastes good. Haiz, can someone enlighten me pls?

Gibberish stuffs

I dunno, but I actually do like the anecdote I've done very much (bottom right corner). Haha, no offence to all the men out there, but I guess it's true to a certain extent yeah? :-P

Ok I'm staying on in StarHub after all, even after all the shit of typing my resignation letter and all..Haha..Real crap it sounds, but I've resigned to the fate I'll be having for the next 2 yrs liao..At least I'm glad that I still hv enuf money to spend, cos actually I'm not reali so keen on the new job that I've mentioned in my previous entry, cos pay's rather less and I dun reali like doing inbound calls..Haha, contradicting I know...

At least after some discussion with my team leader and supervisor, my off days will be the days I'll be studying (i.e. 3 days per wk), so it's not too bad, as I hv time to do revision in the day since my lessons are from 7-10pm for wkdays and 2-5pm for wkends...

Ok den I shall stop here. I've no mood to blabber shit and am at a loss for words too..Election day coming up, get ready to vote for ur desired party!! Hehe...

Facing a dilemma...

Haiz...I've been pondering all day long for the past one month already...
Shld i continue with my current job or to move on to a new environment?

Well i just went for an interview today, for the position of a Call Centre Agent, pay's $7 per hour and i requested to work for 4 days a wk, so that i can hv other days available for my lessons and revision. Not sure if this is a gd choice, since a part-time job would mean lesser income, and I will hv to start curbing my urge to spend. But of cos it would also mean more time for revision and better results. I mean, I wouldn't hv the time and energy to sit myself down to study if I stick with my current full-time job. I might not hv the time to eat and sit here typing my blog/msn even.

However, if I look at things on the bright side, after obediently returning back hm from work or sch for the next 9 mths till i obtain my Advanced Diploma, I can go look for a better job related to my field of study. This will then aid greatly in the Bachelor's I'm about to take after completion of the Advanced Diploma. So even with lesser income for the next 9 mths, reaping gd results that reflects well on me will inevitably assist me to my goal of getting a higher paying job that I like, isn't it?

I dunno, but this is what I think..Maybe someone can give me better advice? **winks**
